Storm piles versus a weekly leaf route
A storm pile is a one-time load with a promised day. A leaf route is a repeating set of curb stops. They should not share the same window.
After a windstorm, one address can hold a trailer by itself. Treating that pile as a five-minute leaf stop is how a route slips past the day that was promised.
Weekly bag routes are the opposite: many short stops, each one a curb and a count of bags. Mabel separates the two on the call so the hauler sees which kind of work they are being offered.
If the customer describes both a storm pile and the regular bags, count them as the job they actually are. Mixed loads still use the same minutes field once the crew knows the walk.
